SPINAL X-RAYS
An X-ray is a test that uses radiation to produce images of the bones and some organs of the body. Spine X-rays provide detailed images of the bones of the spine, and are taken for the 3 main parts of the spine – cervical (neck), thoracic (mid back), and lumbar (lower back). During an X-ray, a focused beam of radiation is passed through your body, and a black-and-white image is recorded on special film. X-Rays are done to help with the diagnosis and treatment of back or neck pain. Spine X-rays can help detect, fractures (breaks), tumors (abnormal masses of cells), arthritis, disc problems, deformities in the curves of the spine, osteoporosis (thinning of the bones), and infection.
UPPER CERVICAL SPECIFIC CARE
A specialty within the chiropractic field, the Upper Cervical procedure is a painless spinal correction, referred to as an adjustment. This is a precisely calculated technique of adjusting and balancing the bone structure of the head and neck. The brain and spinal cord make up the Central Nervous System, which controls and coordinates all body functions. A misalignment can impede the electrical flow throughout the body which can cause dysfunction that can ultimately lead to pain and disease. Thus, the Upper Cervical method of spinal correction fixes this problem and can create more optimum body function by restoring body balance and promoting healing. Adjustments are an excellent way to keep the body functioning at its highest level.
ACTIVATOR METHOD
As technology advances, chiropractic techniques do as well. The Activator Method uses a small, hand-held instrument called the Activator Adjusting Instrument to deliver a gentle impulse force to the spine with the goal of restoring motion to the targeted spinal vertebra or joint. This method is an alternative to the traditional manual form of spinal manipulation, known as the high velocity low amplitude (HVLA) thrust.
spinalator therapy
This traction provides muscle spasm relief, induces motion in the spine, and provides a relaxing, gentle massage of the entire spine. It’s used to improve disc hydration, facet joint motion, and reduce tight muscle spasms. The patient lies on their back on the table and rollers come up to gently lift the body up, opening up the facet joints, moving the discs to get more osmosis working in it, and therefore also stretching out the muscle spasms which relaxes the patient and helps the stability and strength of the back.
orthotics
Prescription Custom Orthotics are biomechanical medical appliances designed to support, comfort, and correct your specific foot imbalance. Prescription orthotics are crafted for you and no one else. They match the contours of your feet precisely and are designed for the way you move. Why custom? Generic, off-the-shelf inserts risk worsening your symptoms because they address only general conditions, and with questionable results. Your feet are as unique as your fingerprints. Each person is different in their foot structure, arch height, and walking form. Only custom-made orthotics are built specifically to meet your individual feet, body and health needs.
Vitamins are a group of organic compounds that are essential nutrients because they perform hundreds of roles in the body. They are needed for normal cell function and growth and help repair cellular damage. Vitamins cannot be synthesized by the body so taking supplements are necessary for a healthy life. Great nutrition can help your body recover and prevent itself from injuries, improve your ability to fight off illnesses and diseases, increase your energy level, and so much more.
